Frequently Asked Questions

Does BWCC take insurance?

Yes, BWCC accepts many major insurance plans. Please visit our insurance page for more information. If you have more questions, please contact Lisa Kane at 410-768-6088 xt. 112.

How do I decide on a therapist to meet with?

Review our clinicians bios to become familiar with the different therapists on our staff. When you speak with BWCC to schedule your intake appointment, the scheduling representative will work with you to help you find a therapist that meets your needs and fits with your schedule.

When should I arrive for my first appointment?

Prior to your first appointment, please visit our forms page and print and complete the forms listed to bring along with you. Please note that some forms are unable to be saved and must be printed out immediately upon completion to bring to your appointment. If you are unable to print the forms, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your intake appointment to complete the forms in our office.

What will happen during my first appointment?

During your first appointment, you will meet with your therapist to review BWCC policies and procedures. You and your therapist will review your completed Mental Health Assessment form and begin to discuss your goals for treatment. Please feel free to ask your therapist any questions that might come to mind during your first appointment.

How often will I have therapy sessions?

At your first appointment, you and your therapist will discuss how often your scheduled therapy sessions will occur. Most sessions occur either weekly or bi-weekly (i.e. every-other-week). Frequency will be determined between you and your therapist and can be changed throughout the course of your treatment to meet your individualized needs.

What if I cannot make an appointment?

If you are unable to make an appointment, please contact your therapist as soon as possible. If you need your therapist's contact information, please visit our clinicians page for their office number and e-mail address. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24-hour notice, you may be subject to pay a $50.00 late cancellation fee.
