Emily has received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and is licensed by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor. She believes in the unique value of each individual and collaborates with clients to promote growth and wellness. Emily believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and approaches therapy through a Person-Centered and intersectional lens. By fostering an open and accepting environment, her clients can feel supported throughout their journey. Emily has provided outpatient psychotherapy to adults, seniors, transition-age youth, adolescents, and children. She utilizes an integrative approach tailored to each individual by incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, art therapy, play therapy, skill building, and mindfulness. Emily has clinical experience treating depression, anxiety, bipolar and mood disorders, schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders, personality disorders, stress management, grief/loss, and increasing self-worth and compassion.

Emily is a native Marylander and enjoys spending time with her pets, eating good food, dancing, and watching her favorite TV shows. Emily uses the pronouns she/her/hers.
