Daniel Rakoff, Clinical Intern

Courtney Stevenson, LCSW-C

Daniel is currently a clinical intern and graduate student pursuing his Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. He has been working as a substance abuse counselor since 2015 and specializes in treating addiction, anxiety, depression, and family issues. With training in Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Psychodynamic principles, Daniel believes in a balanced approach to therapy, incorporating both practical strategies to resolve pressing concerns as well as thorough exploration of one’s inner self and experience. His approach includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and providing a supportive and judgement-free space for clients to express themselves honestly and be met with care and understanding.

Additionally, Daniel currently serves as a Case Manager for college students, as well as a Group Counselor for outpatient substance abuse treatment. In his free time, Daniel enjoys films and spending time with his family.

If you are in need of non-judgmental support, effective coping strategies, and active collaboration in resolving the challenges you face, Daniel is ready to assist you.
